Harry C. Randolph, 89, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 3:30 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2011, at the Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois. Born in (Kibbie) Oblong Township, Crawford County, Illinois on October 9, 1922, he was the son of James R. Randolph and Anna Elizabeth (Bailey) Randolph. He graduated from Oblong High School – Class of 1941; received his A.B. Bible Major for Johnson Bible College, Knoxville, TN in 1945; Ordained Christian Minister – June 13, 1943; served as a full time Minister from June 1944 – May 1987. He served churches in Jellico, TN, Calhoun & Columbia, KY; Rosiclare, Enfield & Wilmington, IL; Attica, Evansville & Wingate, IN. He was a member of the Oblong First Christian Church; Oblong City Lodge A. F. & A. M.; Scottish Rite, Valley of Evansville, IN and Hadi Shrine, Evansville, IN.
On June 15, 1944, he married Theresa L. (Boschenreither) Oursler, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen Aaron & Betsy Randolph and Joseph Robert & Jean Ann Randolph; a daughter, Margaret Ann Bruner; six grandchildren, Elizabeth & Jody England, Jonathan Adams, Nathan Adams, Jesse Randolph, Robin & Aaron Brown and Jennifer & Billy Wathen; ten great-grandchildren, Jacob England, Sarah England, Hannah England, Rachel England, Kyle Adams, Avlyn Adams, Alexander Brown, James Wathen, Elijah Wathen and Charlie Wathen; and two nieces.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, James Bruner; one brother, Robert B. (Feb. 1935); one sister, Theora Lois Russell (July 1972) and a brother-in-law, Herbert K. Russell.
Bro. Dee Wolfe will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
